Beekeeping supply companies and shops across Scandinavia and offer beekeepers a wide range of goods and unique services, including professional wax-melting and cleansing of used frames.
Well known worldwide is the company Swienty for its innovations in the beekeeping equipment industry. Swienty is involved in the preparations of the congress and will be one of the exhibitors. But they are not the only company with an innovative approach to make life easier for beekeepers.
One example is the widespread use of polyurethane and polystyrene for hive boxes. This has made beehives much better suited to the variable Nordic climate. Sometimes cold, sometimes warm but almost always moist summers and winters. At the same time, the hive bodies are light weight protecting the beekeepers from pain.
